Over four million Americans with chronic fatigue syndrome, meanwhile, face the same ordeal, while also experiencing an overwhelming lack of energy for periods of six or more months.

Finding effective treatments for these conditions is still elusive, but medical experts aren’t losing hope. They turn to common conventional treatments like exercise therapy, psychological counseling, and antidepressant medication to at least alleviate some of the difficulties. Recent studies, however, show that an infrared sauna may be effective in reducing pain and fatigue for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome patients.
