How to Buy an Infrared Sauna

When looking to buy an infrared sauna, there are a couple of things you need to consider. From EMF levels to the build quality, everything and anything should be put under the microscope to make sure you are buying the right sauna for your home. However, there are certain things that may easily go overlooked, such as the number of heating panels and walls. Here are a few of the most overlooked things that you will want to check when buying an infrared sauna:

Heating Panels

You need to look for the number of heating panels present in the sauna you are buying. In this case, the more, the merrier. Cheap, low quality saunas usually come with fewer and smaller heating elements, making it difficult for the user to get the right amount of heat.

Glass Walls on the Front

You may want glass walls on saunas, but you should be aware that they lower the effectiveness of the sauna. In fact, too much glass in your sauna means little space for the sauna heaters. Make sure there are plenty of heater panels and as little glass as possible. Don’t be tricked by beauty. Instead, go for efficiency.

Lastly, be sure to check to see if the sauna has solid floor joists. While this may not initially seem important, in the long run, cheap flooring will deteriorate sooner compared to quality flooring. One way to do this is to check the maximum weight that the flooring can handle. You should also see how well it is reinforced and through what means.
